چکیده

Background: Charlson Comorbidity Index[1] is a tool including age and chronic diseases assessing the comorbidity burden. The burden in RA patients determine morbidity mortality. Objectives: To assess classification of CCI with usage health-care system (outpatient clinics) real-world setting. Methods: 327 from large outpatient service central hospital were retrospectively reviewed. Demographic characteristics, treatment for comorbidities recorded. Index (CCI) was measured classified as low, intermediate high score 1-2, 3-4 >=5 points, respectively. Its correlation polypharmacy necessity biologic DMARDs studied. Univariable multivariable analyses performed. Results: Data (75,8% females, 24,2%males) mean±SD 63±11,8 years disease duration 113±63 months, 3±1,2 points (mean±SD) maximum observed at 7 points. High (>=5points) 9,2% majority (3-4points) 55%. All fulfilled criteria polypharmacy. Patients had 9,7 times more probability than low (p=0.09, 1.4-2.5 95%CI). 70 treated biologic-DMARDs (21,7%), TNFa inhibitors (16,5%). In receiving or CCI. Τhe most likely explanation severity that predominated, its complications possible overlap other conditions. Conclusion: score-meaning comorbidities- completely. characterized less comorbidities. Charlson comorbidity index adjustment in intracerebral hemorrhage.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Previous studies of intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) outcome prediction models have not systematically included adjustment for comorbid conditions. The purpose of this study was to assess whether the Charlson Comorbidity Index (CCI) was associated with early mortality and long-term functional outcome in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage. METHODS We performed a retros...

Analysis of variation in length of stay (LOS) after ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke using the Charlson Comorbidity Index (CCI)

[Purpose] The purpose of this study was to understand factors present at baseline that affect outcome and healthcare utilization post-stroke. We investigated the association between the Charlson Comorbidity Index (CCI) score and functional outcome (length of stay) after hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke. [Subjects and Methods] Data from the Korean National Hospital Discharge In-depth Injury Surve...
